Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute and NL Housing & Homelessness Network will be holding a 2 day workshop (October 26-27, 2017) that will provide an overview of the way trauma can be far-reaching and enduring. This workshop provides an overview of the way trauma affects a person through the brain and nervous system and how it can result in longer term symptoms at physical, psychological and emotional levels. A framework which describes different stages in the process of regulating and resolving the impact of trauma is reviewed and key principles and strategies that apply to a diverse range of impacts in children, adolescents and adults are explored.
