Resilience Development for Personal and Professional Well Being

Event Time
10:30 to 12:00pm
Event Location
Newfoundland and Labrador Housing and Homelessness 77 Charter Avenue, Suite 100

Social Work is a rewarding and often challenging profession. We are required to advocate for social justice and ally with marginalized and disenfranchised populations, while maintaining our professional standards and practice. It's not surprising that social workers can be a risk for burnout and vicarious trauma. Although systemic remedies are required, social workers can also benefit from resilience training to enhance their own personal and professional well-being.

This workshop will:

  • Define and describe resilience
  • Introduce resilience factors
  • Provide evidence based practical strategies for resilience development

Location: NL Housing and Homelessness Network Learning Centre, 77 Charter Avenue (corner of East Drive). Parking is available in the parking lot across the street from the Learning Centre.

To register please e-mail  ttaylor@nlasw.ca on or before March 22, 2019. (Space is limited).
